Pacific Palisades was founded by Reverend Charles Scott and the Southern California Methodist – Episcopal Church in 1922. The original residents lived in tents during the town's construction, but, eventually those were replaced by cabins and cottages, bungalows and large homes worth millions of dollars, most notably the J.
